I purchased these even though there were some negative reviews. These are ok but could be better. These do not have internal sewn in pant like men’s swim wear have. These are fabric (non) stretch shorts. I purchased large size and I am glad I did as these do not flex or give. Very rigid. These are very short to the bottom area and may when wet become baggy. I cannot comment on them being wet but only dry. These have a pull cord to keep them in place. 

I bought these shorts because I don't like to wear high leg swim suits. I'm in my older years, so like to be 'comfortable'. These shorts looked the part in the photo's, but the coverage over the legs/thighs is minimal. Being a 14-16 I bought the XL but they were still very neat around the crotch, the leg length was too short, and the waist was too low. Compared to men's swim shorts, really? The search for a decent swim short for women has taken me forever, and i've still not found them. These Speedo swim shorts have also not been given an inside pant lining to cover a person's dignity and stop the seam riding up, no gusset. Speedo, please make shorts for women that give them comfort and coverage. A few differetn style options wouldn't go a miss for different needs.

I'm a size 10-12. I ordered L and then XL (based on the size guide). The XL was tighter than the the L! There are inconsistencies in the sizing and the size guide is not accurate. Order up a size if you are considering purchasing these. I would not recommend if you have curves.

I bought these shorts to wear over a swimming costume and loved them so much bought them in red too. I'm learning to swim and they have a cord around the inside of the elastic to tie in a bow so they are really secure. Much more flattering that just the swimming costume alone - they give you a bit of confidence -

looks great and is comfortable to wear.but the quality is bad: definitely not suitable for moderate swimming (twice a week), if you do it wears out in a month.
