+–How does Fastskin LZR Racer Elite 2 compare against Fastskin LZR Racer X?
There are four main ways in which the LZR Racer X range differs from the Fastskin LZR Racer Elite 2 range: Increased muscular compression; better body positioning; improved finishes and components, to ensure a better fit, and lightweight & durable fabric for maximum freedom of movement. You can read more about the Fastskin LZR Racer X range here.
+–The Speedo product I bought from a retailer is faulty: What should I do?
Unfortunately, without having an opportunity to examine the product in question, we cannot comment fully on a product that is potentially faulty. If you feel there is a fault, the product should be returned to the retailer from which it was bought. This is because the retailer has sole responsibility for dealing with any complaints after sale.
+–My suit filled with water - why did this happen?
Due to the current FINA rulings on suit coverage, all suits are 100% textile and must be fully permeable. Therefore, Speedo cannot eliminate the small chance that water may enter the suit.
Also, if the wrong suit size has been selected, this may increase the chance of excess water retention in the suit. It’s important that the correct Speedo swimsuit size and fit is selected, as this may be different from previous preferences. Your swimsuit fit is down to personal preference. Swimmers, who wish to achieve a more compressive sensation or tighter fit, may find choosing a smaller size is an option.
+–Caring for your swimsuit
Rinse your swimsuit in cold water after use and allow it to dry naturally, away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not use soaps or detergents to cleanse your suit. Do not wrap your swimsuit in a towel as this retains chemicals and heat in close contact with the garment and may cause premature deterioration of swimwear. For regular use of swimwear, we would advise customers to purchase from our Endurance®+ range, as these are chlorine resistant.
+–Caring for your goggles
Return eyewear to the goggle case to prevent scratching of the lenses, and to keep lenses free from dirt and grease. Wash your goggles carefully in cold fresh water after each use. Only gently wipe the inside lens of the goggle with a soft, clean cloth. Do not leave goggles in the direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this may affect the durability of the straps.
+–Fitting your goggles
Position goggles onto the eye sockets to determine if the goggles are comfortable. You should feel a slight suction.
Stretch head strap over back of the head to rest at a 45-degree angle on the crown of the head. Adjust strap so goggles are a firm fit. Note that tightening straps does not always prevent water leaking.
Ensure that the nose bridge is adjusted correctly. Individual size nose bridges are ideal for difficult to fit faces, i.e. large noses, wide faces, high nose bridge.
+–Fastskin cap and goggle: Does the goggle strap always go underneath the cap?
Yes, the Fastskin cap and goggle have been designed to fit together and if the strap does not sit under the cap the rest of the goggle will not fit optimally. If you place any goggle strap onto the outside of the cap then it will increase drag.
+–How do I adjust the nose bridge on my goggles?
To adjust the nose bridge on your goggles, hold the nose bridge with one hand resting your thumb on the lens, pull the nose bridge upwards and with the other hand pull the lens downwards. Please note that it will need a little bit of force the first time. Make sure to use a soft cloth when resting thumb on the lens, to protect the coating on the lens.
Power Paddles are designed to create water resistance, making your arms, shoulders and back work harder for improved speed, muscle tone and stroke technique.
Power paddles are available in small, medium and large sizes. Larger paddles will cause more resistance in the water and will result in a higher-impact workout. Smaller paddles are most ideal for frequent use.
+–Biofuse Power Paddle features
A technically advanced SpeedoBiofuse® Training Aid to assist in swimmer development. Benefits include a durable silicone strap and ergonomically engineered shape for improved grip and reduced hand fatigue.
The stiff blade design maximises power transfer in the water, whilst the TPR (ThermoPlastic Rubber) overmoulding offers flexibility and comfort. The power paddle is also popular for Triathlon training.
