What is Black Friday?

Black Friday dates back to the 1950’s and 60’s when the term was used by the Philadelphia police to describe the chaos caused by the post-Thanksgiving retail event that overtook the city each year as shoppers hunted down the best bargains. The traffic jams and the tumult in towns and cities across the country led to the widespread adoption of the term Black Friday across the USA.

It wasn’t until 2010 that Black Friday really took a hold at a worldwide level, and it is now widely known as a huge opportunity to find deals and offers across many brands and retailers.
