Ahalya Lettenberger
Young superstar
At age 12, Ahalya debuted in Para swimming at the GTAC Disability Open, swiftly earning a spot on the U.S. emerging team. Her standout moment came at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, where she clinched a silver in the 200m individual medley. She's garnered three Paralympic medals: two silver (2023, 2019 - 400m freestyle) and one bronze (2022 - 400m freestyle) at the World CHampionships and Paralympics.
Born to swim
Ahalya was born with arthrogryposis amyoplasia, a muscular skeletal disorder that affects her lower limbs. She always participated in a variety of sports and began swimming at age 11 to combat chronic hip pain due to her bilateral hip dysplasia.
