I love these socks. As you enter the cold water they are a decent barrier and I did not feel cold in a 9.5 degree lake. Like the gloves they have a velcro strap to reduce the amount of water getting in. Bought size M and I have size 6 womens feet. They would fit size 5-7 feet. Some water does get in but that's normal. Quite hard to remove though, but think they all are. Very comfortable to swim in.

Comfortable to wear, and kept me warm. I also found it easy to swim in open water with them on. Downside is they retained water which made it difficult on exit from the lake. Plus, not that easy to get off especially when changing in the cold weather.
