COVID-19 is affecting all our daily lives and the world unites as we face many difficulties through this uncertain time.
Speedo has been championing sport, health and fitness benefits of swimming for over 90 years. We care about the welfare of our customers, our sponsored swimmers and our associates and recognise that depending on where you live you will be impacted differently. Following the advice of many governments and the World Health Organisation, we have implemented measures, globally, to keep our employees, associates and customers safe. Our employees are now predominantly working from home, we have introduced increased safety measures to protect our people in the rare cases where this is not possible and unsurprisingly, this does mean the necessary closure of many of our stores across the world.
We know that for many of you, swimming not only provides physical exercise and training but also supports mental wellbeing. In countries where pools are closed, we fully understand the challenge this brings. We will be posting regular messages of support and inspiration on our social media channels and on our website, to spread positivity and keep us all going while we’re not able to do what we all love of course.. swimming! We want to stay connected to you and offer our full support now and as we look forwards to a time when we can all get back in the water.
Of course all athletes are also at the forefront of our mind at this difficult time. Speedo is committed to supporting not just our sponsored swimmers but all swimmers at a very uncertain time when competitions aren’t happening. We wish you all the best with your continued preparations for competition, whenever that may be.
