Flexibility for light speed. For speed in the water and the transition out of it, the Proton range uses light, flexible, hydrophobic materials, suitable for strong swimmers looking for an extra edge on their performance. The Fastskin Proton Female Wetsuit has been developed with Y38 (Yamamoto 38 cell neoprene rubber) - a well balanced foam providing high buoyancy and flexibility that makes it the most versatile neoprene available - to make sure it performs when it counts. Maximotion+ technology in the single piece chest and shoulder panel means your stroke is as unrestricted as possible, while a core stabiliser offers support.

Proton size ST
Have had problems to find a wetsuit that fits. I am a small in weight and chest but wide hips and quite tall and finally a size ST that works! It was very difficult to pull up over the hips (hence the four and not five stars), a slightly longer zipper would have done the trick but once on it is a comfy snug fit. I hope it will get easier with time to get it on. Love the soft collar that does not give me any chafing and movement of arms is great!Â

Extremely Small Sizes and Poor Shape for Women
I had a Speedo wetsuit back in 2019 and really liked it despite some thin neoprene issues and tearing - so I had hoped improvements were made with this new range. Sadly I will never know. My measurements are closer to the Medium but I purchased Large anyway for comfort. Looking at the actual shape of this wetsuit, it is not constructed for a female body as the leg shape is straight down and no room at all for glutes or thighs. The thigh was the same diameter as the calf section - no human being is this shape. The waist was so tight that it didn't come up past my knees and I then struggled to get out of it. For reference, I wear UK clothes size 10, height 162cm, weight 68kg (I wear Speedo training swimsuits size 34). I would not recommend this for anyone larger than UK size 6, and especially not for wider hips or muscular legs. It's a shame as I really like the style and I was really keen to give Speedo another chance for open water. Zone3 and HUBB are about double the price, but definitely worth trying as they make wetsuits for adult women, and I've never had a problem with their sizing.
