Canadian backstroke swimmer, Kylie Masse, was born in La Salle, Ontario. A talented swimmer from a young age, she went on to compete at University, becoming the 2015-16 Canadian Interuniversity Sport Swimmer of the Year. By 2016 she’d made the senior Olympic team, taking bronze and breaking the Canadian record in the 100m backstroke of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The following year, at the 2017 Canadian Swimming Championships, Kylie broke the Canadian and American records with a time of 58.21, leading her to take the title of the fastest female across 100m backstroke in a textile suit.
