WORLD RECORD FOR TEAM SPEEDO

Rebecca Soni of the Speedo sponsored USA team broke the 2006 world record, previously held by Leisel Jones (AUS), in the semi-final of the 100m Breaststroke. Taking a quarter of a second off the old record she swam 1.04.84 and through to the final in top spot. Annamay Pierse from the Speedo sponsored Canadian swim team will also be joining her in the final on Tuesday night.
