Biography

It would be an understatement to call Tyler Clary driven. A self-proclaimed passionate person. Clary currently holds the American record in the 400-yard IM, and NCAA Division 1 records in the 200-yard backstroke and the 400-yard individual medley. He has eight medals in major international competitions to his name, is a three-time NCAA champion and was named the 2009 Golden Goggles Breakout Swimmer of the Year.

These accolades would be incredibly impressive on their own. When paired with Tyler’s unbelievably busy schedule outside of the pool, however, the results become staggering. Clary is an avid DJ, who enjoys mixing dub step and has played live in Ann Arbor and LA clubs. He is also a huge MMA fan, finding the technical side of the sport incredibly intriguing. He manages to train at it twice a week. If Tyler continues putting as much of his passion into everything he does, especially swimming, expect big things from him in years to come.
