Dana is an American freestyle and butterfly specialist who was the youngest swimmer competing at the 2000 Olympic US trials, aged just 12 years old. Her success when young was achieved under Coach Ron Forrest at the Fort Worth Area Swim Team. Dana has gone on to win a gold medal in the 100m butterfly at the Olympics in 2012 in which she also broke the world record. She studied at University of California, where she played a big role in taking them to their first NCAA Championship. She now trains under Teri McKeever at Berkley.
