In the semifinals of the men’s 100m freestyle, Speedo-sponsored Brent Hayden of Team Canada clocked a swift time of 47.88 in his Speedo LZR Racer to advance into Thursday’s hotly-contested final as the fifth seed.

Speedo’s Filippo Magnini narrowly missed out on the final with 9th spot.
